I just got my Pelican Hardback 1090CC, It fits the M15X perfectly. I highly recommend the hardback because it is water proof up to 30 feet, Crush proof, 2 holes where you can add a lock, and if you drop it out into a lake it will float.
$89.93 shipping included from swps.com
Here are some pictures of the M15x in the case. It is the perfect case for the m15x.

Wow. That's a great fit. How much was the case?
Gabe -
Wow lol thats a pretty resistant case, nice fit too.
-
nah, jk, looks rock-solid to me. might be a bit conspicuous though. -
It was 89.93 with shipping from swps.com I will put that in the original post as well.
Forgot to add it also has 2 holes where you can lock it closed with a key or combination lock. -
it would be cool if they had 17" case, guess ill have to buy the 158.00 alienware aluminum case :/
-
You should stroll around stores, i've seen some very good cases for 1\3rd the price from alienware (although I guess there cases are specifically designed for those notebooks)
-
You use exactly the same lightning options as i do!!! Is this a sign??? I better run home and check mine is still there?!
Nice box, you got good taste in lightning options! I am gonna change mine when i come home now though, gotta stay unique! -
Is it bullet proof?
-
-
dunno, the case looks nice and sturdy... but i would not run it inside the case...
-
its ok if you want a briefcase with no room for additional stuff...i mean the book and a mouse and a few cords....ooooooooo. not saying it is not nice, and it has some neat features, but honest, kinda useless in the whole realm of what one would actually carry.
i know i have never seen anyone carry just the book inside a case as such (till now that is - re: the OP).
but hey - that is why there is more then one choice in this world.... -
You can put it in a soft case with all that stuff. It is nice having the security that it will not get hurt while carrying it while riding a bike, or if it is raining. Pelican also makes a bigger one made to carry the extras it is called the 1490CC.

wow it survived the shot gun. that is one amazing case. it would be useful but most people arent going through a warzone when they head off to whereever they might go
. the price and durability is so much better than that case that AW sells.

Will it make a difference if you put in the m15x skullcap? in terms of fit..is there enough height clearance?
-
lol... nice case... for sure...
i was thinking of carrying my voodoo in a case like that... but i thought it'd attract more attention so... meh... -
you have 60 bucks in your wallet??? lucky.....
nice looking case, but it doesn't do much other then carry the notebook, and i wouldn't pay 89 dollars for something just to protect a machine that will stay in my dorm most of the time. I use a jansport air habitat messenger bag to carry my lappy around. It is padded (botton, and two sides) and is a good bag to carry books in when i go to class. best bag i ever owned. -
i am so getting that case after i get my dv5t. taking it on my 2 hour of bus commute, college, high school, and of course vacations, i want it to have maximum protection. plus i figure if i happen to be in a bank when it is being robbed i can protect myself with it.
. thing looks like a tank. i drop my ipod so much (lol i dropped it out of my car at 35 mph.) i always look for maximum protection and a notebook is MUCH more expencive.

lol, my windows are ALWAYS open, no air conditioning
. and of course they wont take it from me, they will see me and be like. oh em gee, im so jealous of that guy, lets shoot him without taking away any of his stuff
-
The whole "oh em gee" just...couldn't keep me from laughing.
-
Well I guess getting one of these cases will be a good investment as well as keeping the laptop from falling apart
-
well at least at school if someones bugging you, you can put your laptop in the case and throw it at there head rofl.

To the original poster or anyone else that has this case.
I want to get one for my m860tu (Sager 8660) and the laptop depth ranges from 1.5" approx to 1.87" approx (towards the back of the laptop).
The 1090CC has a rating of 1.7" max internally (depth). In your opinion, will I be able to get it in there or will too much pressure be required to be placed on the laptop to close the case? I was hoping there was enough extra cushion to get the case closed (without damaging the laptop screen).
Thanks! -
