Hey all,
I recently bought an Alienware m15x laptop for college (and gaming), but I'm having a little trouble updating my nvidia drivers.
I've been looking around a lot, and I can't find a link - anywhere - to the 8700m drivers. The best I could find from nvidia's site was the 8 series general drivers, but when I tried to install them, the setup gives me an error about not finding any compatible software.
Any ideas?

Hi,
Laptop video drivers are only really released by the manufacturer, bu this site is where you wanna go to get the newest ones

If you go to this all the newest drivers will be listed in the forum
Tom
(By the way the 'modded inf' that comes with them as a separate download are to be placed into the extracted file) -
well, you can go to http://www.nvidia.com/content/forcewithin/us/index.html to download the newest Nvidia WHQL driver including the PhysX update. no guarantees if it will work though.
beyond that, laptopvideo2go.com has lots of mobile-ready drivers. they require a modded .inf to work, but that's easy to install. many users have made good experiences with v177.72, so you might want to try those. http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showforum=94 -
Woo! Updated drivers!
Thanks for the help guys. That takes care of that problem.
