Hard to compare the two, as they use different drivers. A more realistic comparison would be when both the 9262 and the M15X are using current, same drivers...which isn't possible right now due to driver downclock issues on both machines.

Right now, the M15X is worse off in fps due to drivers and for some, the downclocking.

I'm not even going to touch Crysis again until new drivers are released.

Went around the forums to investigate about the FPS for crysis in highs ettings for notebooks with 1 8800 gtx cards. Most people with the m15x with the 8800 gtx got a max of 23 fps. On the sager forums, people who ran crysis got around 25 fps (dunno if its max or an average) with a single 8800 gtx card. And also on the 1730 owners lounge, people ran crysis with a single 8800 gtx card got around 25 fps also.

So in conclusion, the crysis performance on the M15x seems to be right at running it at 23 fps at max. The only difference is that the 9262 and the 1730 ran it with the 1900ish resolution, you think if they ran it at 1440 resolution they would get significant increase in FPS?

Need feedback, what you guys think? The M15x performing at the norm and as it should be? (minus the downclocking issues and heat issues)

A 1440x900 resolution would bump up the fps quite a lot.
I can play Crysis all high except texture and objects set to medium at 20+ fps. Even 25+ at 960x600 since I don`t mind low res gaming. But I have the 7950GTX which is 1/2 of the 8800M GTX.
The 9262 and 1730 have no overheating issues and they can run a constant 25+ average fps at 1440x900 or more if they OC.
The 1920x1200 resolution can be played at all high only in SLI 8800M GTX.

I configured my M15x and the ship date is set at april 28, now you think the downclocking issues will be fixed by the time they ship my system, or will they still be working on it? Did anyone hear back from that alienware tech guy that was posting on notebook review about the bios not fixing the problems for everyone?
