    So I've got a question.

I've had the M15x for about one month(won it via mountain dew). At the time of order they said the screen was back-ordered. I received it a short time after. I've been checking the hinge and IT'S already separating. I've had this lap-top for less than a month and it's breaking? . So glad I never paid money for this.

yea breaking time varies. before it fully seperates tho there should be some plastic pieces that come out of the hinge. those are from the back panel :D

Well apparantley the problem is bigger than I expected because after explaining my situation to Alienware customer support and saying "I was under warranty when you were supposed to fix the problem yet I am out of warranty now and the problem still isnt fixed what am I supposed to do" it managed to do some good.

He told me I could pay $500 total to get it fixed with labor, parts, etc. or I can get the parts sent to me and when I asked him the cost for that he came back 10 minutes later telling me if I take pictures of it I may still be able to get it fixed under warranty.

Now here I am told that I ship it in and will get it by November 17th. This was a pleasant suprise to me as I was expecting a blow off reply and no help. All I can hope now is that it doesnt return seeing as they have had a year since my last repair to maybe fix the flaw.

This is based on my experience as I have a corporate account I do not guarantee they will be so willing to other accounts.

Will it be unusable if it separates completely? It was free and I'm not paying to fix it.
