Does the M15x use a special kind of optical drive or does it use the regular SATA or IDE so that it can be upgraded with a BluRay drive by the user ?? Thanks again for any info. God Bless :)

you can swap the normal DVD drive (SATA by the way) for any (notebook-sized, obviously) BR drive. there's a step-by-step tutorial on AW's support site on how to remove the normal optical drive from the Smart Bay cage, and how to then replace it with another optical drive of your choice. only "downside" is that you can't use a slot loading drive (without modding the cage).

    tutorial: http://4help.alienware.com/cgi-bin/...SZwX3NlYXJjaF90ZXh0PW0xNXg*&p_li=&p_topview=1 and afterwards http://4help.alienware.com/cgi-bin/...SZwX3BhZ2U9MSZwX3NlYXJjaF90ZXh0PW0xNXg*&p_li=

    example drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827118009

    hope that helped.
