So I sent my M15x back to Alienware today. As I have mixed feelings about it because I really wanted to like the M15x but I can't be dealing with problems like this in college. So it looks like I'll give the Sager NP8660 a try and see how that works out. Also I upgraded my Ram on my M15x with 4GB's of Crucial Ram, is there anyway I can get my money back for that or am I out $125?

What problems did you have that you felt it was unreliable for college?

Right side of the case lifting up, speaker problems, case bulging, screen creaking, ect. I sent it in for repair and nothing was fixed (2 weeks). I'm just happy AW-Armando helped me out, great guy btw.

you will prob have to sell the RAM on-line or offer it thru word of mouth.
rememebr though, you will never get the amount you paid unless someone does not know what they are buying...not to sound negative.
maybe someone here will buy it for thier system?

    :)

Now I put the 1Gb of ram back in there lol ;) But I am stuck with 4Gb's of ram that is useless to me now. Should I ebay it or try to see if crucial will take it back?

Yeah I guess being out $125 is better than some people that are stuck with broken m15x's($3000+) that can't return them. But I'll see what I can do,lol

I only had 30 days and I bought it before I got my M15x so I would have it when I got my laptop. Then I only used it for a week out of the month+ I had it...oh well I'll just ask around, lol

Dont you have to pay the 15% restocking fee?
Also keep in mind the shipping date of the 8660 is going to be tight.
Sager estimates they will receive it by the 8th which is a Friday. Give them 3-5 days of testing since this is a completely new unit, not like the 5796 which was a refresh of the 5793. So your looking at the 13-15th for them to start production. Production / testing will take 3-4 business days. So your looking at them shipping it by the 18-20, and then whatever shipping method you choose.
