So I'm thinking about upgrading my laptop to run 64bit. I've had a 64 bit platform before, but that was 64bit from the start. Are there any potential problems out there that could keep me from upgrading to 64bit? Like ardware issues?

    Thanks!

Although 64-bit is slow to develop drivers, vista and xp upgrades should work fine. I have no negative experience with both. It will still run 32-bit apps.

Make sure your cpu supports 64 bit processing though and at least 3-4 gb.
