Hi, my M15x boots up with the blank (black) screen. Everything else is ok cuz when I connect it to an external monitor I can log into window. This is frustrated cuz I've just got it for 4days and I'm in Vietnam. Can someone tell me how to fix it (or how to open up the lcd so I can bring it to a local shop). Thx in advance.

try to connect to external monitor to check if everything else is working. if works then maybe a loose connection some where.

If you want to open it up to see if any connections are loose. under your battery is 4 screws take them off, use your finger to left open the plastic touch strap and 3 screws for keyboard. most of the lcd connections are there. Also you can pull off the plastic piece at the bottom of your screen, i don't remember if any screws hold it in place(maybe the screws in back/bottom of lid). once you pull off the plastic piece there is like 4 screws for the screen, push screen down and it should slide out. check the connections if all is fine then maybe you have a bad screen.

so your in vietnam for vacation? my wife wants to go back but i need to save some more money after buying a M15x,lol
