I had problems with my M15x lighting the first time, so I reformatted my entire computer. After a few days of usage, another problem occurs. Only the right side of my keyboard and the alienhead is litted up. Everything else is dark.

I tried uninstalling the command center and the OSD and then used CCleaner, but it didn't work. I tried turning it off, removing the charger and the battery then holding down the power button for twenty seconds but it didn't help.

I can't even change a theme using command center or use AlienFX lite.

I'm out of ideas and really don't want to reformat my computer again just after 2 days of usage :/

If you have suggestions, please post them

    Thanks :D

Hi Glenn, which version of Command Center are you installing?

I am having some issues with the version 2.5 where my Alien heads are not turning on when coming from hibernation mode.

I found in other threads that M15x owners are going back to version 2.0 which is more stable on the AlienFX application than current one.

Hello. I have version 2.5.44. I'm currently downloading 2.0.10. I'll edit this post once it's done and I have it installed. Thanks for the suggestion and hopefully this fixes it :D

EDIT: Okay, that didn't work. I still get the same issue.

This is what alienware going to have you do.

1 They will have you try the reinstall which you already done.
2 They will explain to you that your cable might be lose. So they will explain how to pull the keyboard off. I know I done it. reseat the keyboard lighting cable. (please note the computer the power cord and battery are unplug)
3 If the cable still dose not work they will send you a New keyboard and try that.
    4 Replace the Motherboard.

I had it happen with my Frist m17x with muti color keyboard. Please call them so they explain how to fix the keyboard. It could void your warrintee if you dont.

have you tried a cold boot
    -turn off
    - unplug
    - take out battery
    - press and hold power button for 10-20 sec
-then restart to see if it did anything.

    good luck
