    Hi!

First, I'd like to thank everyone on this forum for the wealth of information - it's truly a wonderful resource!

Second, last night in my frustration at the ever present and annoying fan noise of the x36 bios (which I've been using for some time), I switched back to x32. I was shocked to notice my m15x seems to be running significantly better and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

I was getting ready to reinstall Vista because of general system "sluggishness", but now even in stealth mode everything feels more responsive than normal mode fan screaming x36.

No idea why - I thought they fixed the latency issue in x36, but if you're using it and feel like your laptop is trying to power through a bucket of molasses on a frosty morning, try going back to x32 - you might be surprised like I am!

Download the Bios from the link posted. Then burn it to a CD. After that, boot from the CD to flash your BIOS.

Owners with the extreme Core 2 duo CPU's get overheating & downclocking with the x32 bios.

guys sorry for reviving this thread from the dephts of obsolence, but I have just downgraded to x32 using the file in the Mini My-Hive and the annoying CPU fan from x36 seems to be still haunting my ears!

No matter how low the CPU temps drop, the fans just wont stop spinning!

Does anyone have an idea on how to manage this problem?

so does this downgrade give more performance in gaming and start-up time?
I'm guessing my system could do this without problems with my hardware?
