So my touchpad doesn't work. I have no idea why. But my mouse refuses to move unless I use an external. Its weird cuz when I go into alientouch on the part where you can set the scrolling I can see the little crosshairs where my finger is on the touchpad but my mouse doesn't move.

maybe you've deactivated it in the hardware settings?

nope. Just checked. in fact I even turned off "disable while external mouse is connected" setting. the weird thing is I can still scroll with the pad. Nothing else working. including clicking.

FN+F5 kills the M17 touchpad. If your 15x has the same function, is it maybe overriding your control panel setting?

Thanks for that one actually. I didn't think of that. However I tried that and the touch pads back lighting turned off along with the touch pad off notice. Anyone have any ideas? I may have to system restore as a last resort.
