I posted earlier in the m15x owners thread regarding my touchpad not working properly. Specifically, the physical touchpad not corresponding with the on-screen feedback provided by the synaptic driver. Below is a screenshot with the non-responsive area highlighted with yellow.

At no point on the pad can I "press" this region. If I drag a finger left to right, the horizontal feedback arrows just drop off the window.

This problem is most notable when I attempt to scroll windows vertically as I simply cannot. I have stretched the active vertical scrolling region over to the working region of the pad and can scroll vertically, but this greatly reduces the normal working region of the pad.

I will be calling Roswell today in the hopes that there might be a solution other than sending back my now three day old notebook.

Before I call, I'd hoped to ask if others have experienced anything of the sort. I would hate to send it in and have it returned to me with the same problem

Also, I trolled trough here and AW's site and could find nothing on replacing the touchpad itself. Only the reseating the connector article.

So in short, any touchpad issues out there besides those corrected by the bios update? Has anyone successfully removed/replaced/adjusted their touchpad without sending it in to AW? Are my fears of the entire top of the case needing to be replaced unfounded?
