So i recieved today my m15x with Blu-ray reader.
I've tried to play a Blu ray , region B (Europe). But powerDVD says that the Blu-ray disc doesn't support region B and that i have to play the disc in a blu-ray region b player ??

I've bought the notebook with Alienware.co.uk. How come that i can play a EU disc in a, i guess, EU player??

    How can i fix this?

Usually it is powerDVD that choses regions (i.e. the software) not the hardware, you should be able to chose which region you want powerDVD to use in powerDVDs options.

hmmmmm - seems strange since you bought it from the UK site that it would not play the region you are in....
but chk the stuff svarto said. and email AW and let them know about this. maybe there are several others that are getting programmed wrong.
i mean if you order from a region different from USA, your unit should be set up for that region instead...

maybe they were out of BR players in europe and had some shipped over from the US and forgot to change the area code?

Do you have the full version of powerdvd ultra or the basic Alienware version? Advise getting full version through upgrade. and then change BD setting.
note- powerdvd 8 requires you to choose your region after 1730u(b) build: DVD080411-04
