    Hi

Some of you might know that I am the Crysis Guy :) and ...
... I read that ATI wrote in their driver notes that the new 9.6 driver will give a nice boost for Crysis and Crysis Warhead with CrossFireX configurations!
I was so happy and had to run some benchmarks to belife that^^
As allways I benched on Windows 7 64bit.

At first Crysis @ AA=16xQ and everything on Very High:

    Results:
    800x600: 26,52 FPS
    1024x786: 22,78 FPS
    1280x720: 19,76 FPS

This are realy good results for a ATI powered notebook!

Now Crysis Warhead... @ ENTHUSAST at first:

    and than @ GAMER:

This time the scores aren't as great as they had been with Crysis, that's why I run the second Warhead Test as well.

So this was my little big test on Crysis and Crysis Warhead with 9.6, I hope you enjoed it and as allways! I NEED SUGGESTENS and feedback ;)

    Greetings
    Julian

PS: I hope this is not a crap 1.000 post ;)

Because of motionblure you don't realice the "low fps" ... you can enjoy playing Crysis MAXED OUT ... but not Warhead :(

    ???????

Mine plays Crysis with everything but AA set to high and has great frame rates.

How well do you think one of the most hardware intensive games should play on a laptop?

That's interesting. I played Crysis set to High at 1440x900 with E-wrecked's 9.1 drivers and I got near constant over 30 FPS. (No AA, obviously)

Yeah. Crysis is optimized for quads. Therefore it runs really well on my Q9000 despite the fact that it's only 2GHz.

I dont think Crysis uses a quad, I see faster clocked dual cores do better in this game.

I wish I could get the 9.6's working on the W90, see what two 4870's do to this game with the new boost.

When I read the update file for this cat release I was like "Wow better late than never, but this is pretty darn late" as the big Crysis fanclub has finally died down.

Crysis IS quad core optimised. I'm not sure about Warhead, but that runs well as well.

adds a bunch of 4870's and a few 4870X2's but they dont work right.

Using one of them ruins the crossfire and causes some strange issues like horrible cursor lag @ boot.

Though I guess I need to take the time and try every one of the 4870 selections maybe one of them will work.

Which selections ? Are you using the have disk method ?

Just installed 9.6 today (vista) and so far they are working pretty nice. Dont know if they still got work to do on the 4870 (mobility modder) since they are rather new on the market.
