I just downloaded cpuid hardware monitor, and its got some cool stuff, like battery information that I have never bothered to check.
Since I got my system from Alienware Ebay, I wanted to make sure they gave me a new battery with my system. What are people seing for numbers, and are they accurate?
Thanks!
Jon

Might be a bit tough to confirm Jon. Not sure how many M17 owners we have left but hopefully then can post up a screenshot for you to compare.
Might want to grab HWiNFO32 and see what it reports - Under the SmartBattery data, it shows a 'wear level'. Not sure if it will work for your battery but you should give it a try. HWiNFO32 is HERE. -
Keep in mind that all batteries info might vary due to physics

Yes, exactly what mine are saying + or - a few, but it was that 9xxxx number and my 7xxxx number that was bothering me, like i was missing some 2xxxxx worth of capacity.
Looks like all is well.
thanks!

Id imagine that the batteries lose a bit of their efficiency after some time, hence the decrease. That been said, i doubt it will decrease any more (at least not by a "large" amount).

But my battery is 'new' with my system, so it shouldnt have decreased at all from that top number, I am only guessing that top number isnt accurate.
Thats what I wanted confirmed, if I should expect the 90k number or is the 70k the correct one. -
Here's mine:
