I just got my M17 finally and can't figure out how to use the backlit keyboard. How do you turn it on? Thanks.

What Flashback said. Did you order the backlit keyboard? Just making sure.

Yes, I ordered it, it's even on my paper work but the FN + F10 does nothing

I haven't torn into the front of the laptop yet, just the underside. AW either forgot to plug the connector in for your keyboard lighting, or installed the non-illuminated keyboard. Either way, that's a bummer, and I'm sorry to hear it. Get on the phone with them and see what they'll do for you.

I also noticed that you got that sweet QX9300 CPU. If you ever decide you want to unlock the multiplier and overclock it, let me know. I would love to see what kind of 3DMark scores you could get with that badboy.

It seems as though it only lights up when I am typing. Anyway to make it stay on?

probably a loose connector. try reseating the Lighting connector. you can find a guide in the AW Knowledge base.

Hi, I'm new to the forum and am having a similar problem with my M17 keyboard backlight!!! I've had the keyboard out three times and reseated the connector, have been sent a replacement keyboard and done the same but still no joy! Been on the phone to AW for approx 6 hours in total and they said I will have to wait for the next Keyboard Bios update to rectify the problem. Is does come on intermittently but hasn't for the last week. Anyone got any ideas or know where I can get a keyboard bios above version 130C. I'm already running the main Bios at version B10, which is the highest on the AW my hive site.

If you can lend some help, it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks
