I have an M17, with every option, I have tried rolling back drivers, new drivers, and everything. It was working fine, until I hooked up my TV to my laptop to watch movies. Afterwords when I unhooked the HDMI the speakers will no longer work.
I have tried all 3 Sound Devices set as default. Help?

when you plugged in the hdmi did anything pop up or a setting wad different in the realtek cpntrol panel. I would take screenshots so you can see my settings. but I am not in front of it right now.

Right click on the volume control panel and click playback devices, what is set as default?

Well There are 3 devices there, Speakers, HDMI and digitial output. No matter which of the 3 I can not get sound out of My Speakers. And no nothing new popped up when I put in hdmi, If you want a screenshot just tell me of what.

Sigh... I'm getting the same thing out of no where. I use Bose speakers between my laptop and iMac and when I plug those in or plug in headphones they work okay but when I unplug them the speakers aren't working as they used to! It achknowledges I unplugged it but doesn't seem to switch to the speakers. Hmm this is very odd. It came out of no where. I'll try playing around with it more and report back with the results!
