Okay, you're probably going to think that i am nuts but i find this really annoying. When my system was shipped during the first boot the Alienhead which appears for the first 1-2 seconds looked just fine, the Blue markings on the picture show you how far it used to be stretched and it looked really nice. But one day, after a crash the Resolution changed! See how it is now, it looks like a tennis ball! and if you look at the red circles you will see like white ugly lines underneath and above. I allready tried to update the BIOS but it didn't change anything, anyone got a fix please?

The tennis ball looks right to me, same as mine and the white lines are always there for me.

Sorry to hijack this thread but it might provide a solution.
If you do a fresh install of your system with a new HD (I will be getting a SSD eventually) will this disappear? How would you go about putting it back? Haha I must sound like an idiot. -
hmmm, tat looks good to me, mine is about the same as yours...

It looks fine to me. It appears that it was wrong originally...

Well, you don't really see it on this picture but its squashed like an orange, when my system was delivered this image was just right. Thing is i want it to maintain the same aspect ratio of the Alienhead on the logo below, otherwise it looks like some sort of sick fruit.

Anyone, please?

fusion already posted that that's how his always was and that he even has those white lines as well..
Just a thought, good luck -
I know there are programs to change the boot image, anyone knows how that works? Maybe i can replace the logo by a better version...

The tennis ball looks just right, like mine. Its just stupid fat tho.

I have that too. The image file must be located within the BIOS. To change its resolution you would have to tweak the BIOS, but that's not such a good idea... Perhaps try to ask Alienware for a fix?
