No. I get 30fps on 1920x1200 with those settings. You'll get a much better fps at 1440x900.

Good luck, running Crysis full on a laptop is like looking for the electricity to generate the 1.21 gigawatts needed for time travel. :D

Have WH and it runs fine at the settings listed in the prior post's...

On my desktop with a single 8800GTX is get better fps than on my m17 with 2x3870x2 ...

I want to say: This is because you have an nvida card ;) This makes the biggest advantage @ Crysis

As a comparison my M17 got around 12,1k and my desktop around 9k 3DMark06 (1280x1024)

    Greetings
    Julian

Edit: I only played it on 1280x1024 and all maxed out but I am sure with HIGH, without DX10, you should get more than 25fps ...

There is no tangible visual difference in Crysis between DirectX 9 and 10. DirectX 9 has a slight edge in performance, and performance is also more consistent. I only benchmark Crysis in DirectX 9 because of the latter.

May be I mix this up with CWH but I am quite sure the explosions (and the "heet effect") does look a good pice better with DX10?

    Greetings
    Julian

Edit: great comparison! Move youre mouse over the pictures and you will realy see the difference :)
    DX9 vs DX10

After seeing this ... wow ... I never realiced it would make a so "beautiful" improvement ...

I got one question? Everyone's concerned about FPS, but just how much is fine and how much isn't. Yes, the higher the smoother but, 15-20 you can almost tell no difference in the movement and action? At least to me? Correct me! if i'm worng. So far I do know if your screen res is set higher you'll stuggle more due to the fill rate texture of your screen thus slows down your performance/FPS, depending on what GFX's card/ CPU your system has.

well it depends on you. i think crysis is playable 20 and up. i like high framerates is stressful games(60+) even though the human eye cant see it. this is because i kno my computer is going to last me a long time.

different games is playable at different framerate. ina fastpace game you need high fps so you can keep up with whats going on. (ut3, grid) in slow pace games 10 and up is ok becuase you can take your time is game and not worry about dying. (WIC comapny of heros, supreme commander.) but it's all up to you.

fear 2 max every thing plays 30-40 and that is smooth i think 20 + is smooth enough to play
