    Hi,

Does anyone know if the M17 was ever released with blue LED lights in the "Alienware" text above the keyboard? Every picture that I've seen, the text is white. But I was on one of Dell's outlet sites and saw a blue LED. Not sure if they just photoshoped it in though.

Just to clarify, I don't mean the newer m17x but rather the old matte m17 model.

yes the first iteration of the m17 had lighting in the logo below the LCd and had lighting around the touch pad.

Are you talking about the M17 or the Area-51 m17x? (And not the newer M17x)

Interesting. It seems like that's the M17x model (older version). I bought the M17 CrossfireX version. I didn't need crazy performance, but just enough to replace my secondary desktop (transport LAN).

I guess I'll find out when it comes.

I'd say the picture with the blue lights is photoshopped, as far as I know the original M17 didnt have lighting there and all the other photos on the linked listing shows it without.
