Hey all! I have a quick question on how to solve a minor problem with my M17's Fingerprint reader that seems to have crapped out on me in the last few days.

I ran a program that updates any number of drivers it can find (with the FP/VitaKey driver being one of them) and after it installed my reader seems to have quit working.

The little box that shows the faded out fingerprint that prompts you to scan during login or file protection/unprotection just keep showing a blue question mark.

I think all I need to do it reinstall the driver for the reader, but im afraid I will lose the files that I have protected with VitaKey if I do this. Any ideas on what I should do?

    Thanks!

You can use the password to unlock the files, then reinstall it.
