    Hey guys,
After reading a couple of times, that a HDD should not reach more then 50°, I was wondering what temps you get.
My primery drive (from Alienware, contains all installations) has about 49 when idle and up to 53 under load.
My secondary drive (from WD, only for Data) about 43-45 idle.
I think thats too high. So I was looking for a way to cool them. But I did not yet find any solution..
I am using a Zalman NC 2000, but that does not lower the HDD temps.
    Does anyone have an idea?

By the way how do you measure HDD temps?

My old one from AW that died from the click of death was listed in hwmonitor, but my new ones from WD aren't.

Both my seagate and WD show up in HWmonitor, they idle around 40-44c (seagate is always hotter) and temps go as high as 53c as well.

Ive bought the WD one about a month ago and im pretty sure that adding a second hdd increases the hdd temps by 8c+ (in my case at least).

Dont think its an issue though since if you read the hdd specs it can run well over that temperature.

53 under load should be perfectly fine. I've ran my hard drive as high as 60C by using my lappy on my lap, but there's no problem from it. (The rest of the system ironically runs cooler by having a bigger gap to suck air from)
