    Hello ;

    i think, i have a problem with temps. is my temperatures are normal or little higher ?

    System :

    Q9100 Cpu
    4gb ram
    3870 x2
    500gb hd
    vista x64

    CPUID photo is attached. idle heat and the max heat is taken from vista x64 and playing empire total war (around 30 minutes of play time) , all the settings maxed 1920x1200 resolution.

    i want to ask you one more question, what is the max temps for this system (cpu and gpu)

    Thanks.

    ps : i am getting a huge lag in windows vista 32 bit, i tested with same config and same games after same playin time with vista x64 , it is going to horrible sound and video lag in vista 32 bit. not the after sleep lag or something.. when the cooling system is going to cool the gpu , after that point system is going under extremely high video, sound and mouse pointer lag. sometimes when i am going to download or using torrent client it is also laggy in windows 32 bit.

    ps2 : sorry for english btw.

    you cpu idle looks high, the max of 70c is good though...however, 90's load with the gpu seems high, but should not be causing lag....when you set the power scheme to power saver, then back to high performance...does the cpu temp go down and stay down even after putting it back on high performance?

    thank you for replies mrmoo & halogod.

    with laptop cooler my temps are;

    cpu : idle (47 C) power saver // (50 C) high performance
    GPU : idle 55 (first GPU) - 47 (second GPU) nothing changed when i change the power plans.

    why there is difference between 2 GPU ' s ?

    ONE while idle controls the backround and windows the other just idles so its lower

    when you change power plans it should drop by a few C'

    whats you max with the coolers? and what kind is it?

    now they look normal. empire is a cpu intensive game so that could explain that but the gpus still run pretty hot with the cooler

    have you cleaned out your vents?

    the cooler and laptop is new..

    at least with vista x64 i dont have any lag or jumping mouse problem.

    whats is the maximum working temperature for ati 3870 x2 ?
