Hey NBR'ers! I find the flimsy cloth that comes with the M17 to be irritating and ineffective. Does anyone use a thicker case?

I was looking at something like this -- but the M17 is bigger than most laptops and didn't want to be taking a guess on if it'd fit or not. Does anyone use one that they like?

    16" x 13" x 2"

those are the interior specs for the bag.
compare to the M17 and you should have your answer.

    Dimensions: (W)15.65" (D)11.80" (H)1.7"

its going to be a snug fit.

The cloth case obviously isn't for any type of impact or stand-alone protection. I put my M17 in the cloth case, and then in my backpack.

I think that bag would again be a snug fit.
I can't seem to find anywhere that has custom bag sizes for a sleeve.
The largest I've found is the one in my first post and this one:

Any thoughts? Although it's supposed to fit -- You never really know..

seems ok...but i dont like the fact that you have a seperate case for the power block.
    carrying two things, not one.

    note: Capacity 17.4" x 12" x 1.74" (interior dimensions)

Thanks again, ryujin -- I'm still looking for the perfect one. I agree with you, it does make sense to keep them together.

Surely people are not just using the cloth to protect a laptop that costs thousands of dollars??
I was thinking of ordering this case:
    http://www.casesbypelican.com/app-1495.htm
But I would like to find a padded case to put it in in case I want to put it in backpack. Are the alienware bags made to just slide the laptop in with the protective cloth?

I love the look of teh booqbags and axio-usa bags. Specifically the booq boa slimcase and the mamba pack. Also for axio, the sling pack and sling bag. They all look good, and i think they can fit the m17 or m17x
