M17 Sound Quality Problem

My whitebook(m17) sound quality i think sucks. i'm looking for software that has a equalizer to make it sound better. the realtek one under win7 and vista are presets and i'm not looking for that. i like the one for xp which has about a 10 band EQ where i can make it sound as good as i want. if someone knows how to get the xp on working like me know pm me or something. or if someone knows how to take it apart and put better quality speakers in it and what kind please just post pics and i how to so i can this this sounding good.

 

have you tried the older drivers? i hate to suggest that but the newer driver do not have the eq any more?

also try this. go to realtek control panel choose carpeted hallway as the enviornment and choose powerful as the eq setting. see if that helps.

 

I think he probably knew about that one but he wants an EQ to set it manually if im not mistaken, something like the image bellow id guess.

Dont remember any programs that can affect the whole windows sounds Usually i use it only for music and stuff like that in WMP and Winamp. Whats the issue with the sound though ? Mine sounds pretty good.

 

it does sound better with carpeted hallway. and the preset EQ set to powerful. but i'm not feeling the bass for a sub. i know it's a laptop. but i heard a hp with atlec lastic speaks and a sub and there was a big difference.

 

yeah imo the sub kinda sucks. there is no way to get the realtek 10 band anymore on vista sorry to say

 

yeah i already knew about the powerful but not the carpeted hallway. yes a eq like that cept to use in everything. dont get me wrong these speakers or good. In games and movies they sound great but not for music which i'm a big fan of. but i dont see the eq in win7 for WMP.

I use media monkey. it uses less resources and i never had it hang or lag. and i use kmplayer for videos. i think these are the only two multimedia programs you need and nothing else. IMHO.

 

it's ok. i'm not going to switch to xp for sound. do you know if there is anyway to change the speakers to better ones and if so, then which and how. if not then i'll deal with it not a big deal but it would help.

But again, if you need it only for videos and songs why dont you use the EQ's that are build in the programs you play them ?

 

i dont see a EQ in mediamonkey. and i tried all of the multimedia software and i find mediamonkey to suit me best. thats why i'm having a problem.

 

i just use wmp11 works perfect especially once you add in klite codec pack.

 

i cant find the eq in wmp11 in win7 it's different than vista. i tried to go in the now playing too see if i can get it in the mid left corner but it's not there.

 

Its in View -> Enchantments -> Graphic Equalizer

 

can i have a screen shot. sorry i'm a visual person. i know in vista wmp11 you go in now playing and on the bottom you just choose whatever you want. ut i cant find it hear
