Perhaps it is because this is the first 64-bit OS I've ran, or maybe it's due to the Crossfire config, maybe even due to the Quad Core processor, or better yet the raid 0 config I have going... but I have noticed that the M17 is extremely tempermental!
It seems that when it runs right, it is the next best thing to s3x; when it doesn't, I want to smash it against a wall. And every little change I make seems to upset the balance. Of course, this may be just a perception but quite frustrating to say the least.
I loaded a game - Dracula Origins. Couldn't get it to run at all. I never got a menu to come up when the game started. So I simply uninstalled and chalked it off to something quirky that won't run on my rig. However, Windows Media Center will no longer play my live tv properly. Live TV runs fine when I start up WinTV but I don't like how the app left justifies the image rather than centering it. WMC was running live TV fine prior to me trying out Origins. Now the initial image appears and immediately freezes, while the audio continues fine.
I have all the drivers updated. I am using an Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1500 Express Card 54mm TV tuner. I tried reconfiguring the card in WMC, but same result. Now here's a kicker - when I am in the WMC menu system, and the app has the TV image minimized to a thumbnail in the lower left corner, the tuner signal process just fine!
So gents, what the heck do I check?
