Anyone know where I can get the driver for the web cam? Can't seem to find it on Alienwares web site.

TurbodTalon Notebook Virtuoso
Heh. I need it too. I'll have a look around.

the web cam should register as simply a usb camera device once its turned one if you need the application for it that is here:

So we should just use the generic microsoft driver?

that what im doing and its fine

Do you know that this lack of an AW driver for the webcam is the responsible of the crash issue in Alien Fusion for Vista 64?
-
I'm not a fan of using a generic anything. It's always nice to have the appropriate drivers for all your hardware to make sure you get full, trouble free functionality. This is something simple that Alienware should provide for a high priced notebook.

are you experiencing problems with the vista driver for the camera?
-
Nothing other than windows update recognizing it as a different camera and wanting to install the wrong driver. When updating to this driver, the web cam no longer functions. That's why I was wondering if there was a official driver out there.

I used the OCZ one, and it works perfectly for me
