    Hello

i was wondering if any of you got a Q9200 installed in their m17.Is there any known issue , like stutering , overheating ? do i need to update my bios ?if so witch one should i pick ?
since it's a replacement for my little p8400 should i choose a t9800 or t9900 instead as i use my alienware mainly for games , and sometime some xvid conversion / video edition ....

    thx

Yeah, it's been installed in the M17 before without any problems. You may well still have the stuttering issue though, but you might not. No other known issues.

T9800 or T9900 will knock your socks off. I would recommend against any Quad Processors in the M17. Just my opinion.

the q9200 is not as sensitive to stuttering as the qx9300 for some reason. the t9800 is a awsome chip though with less heat.. depends what you want.. i have afew t9800 left if you decide that way.. i may have a q9200 also still

So most if not all Q9200s have unlocked multis that actually work for overclocking and have no issues in an M17? ....other then the versions will no temp sensor support of course.
