Im thinking about buying a m17 but i dont want to drop more than 2 grand on it right now, so does anyone have some insight on what specs might be best for that price. Later on I could upgrade the RAM or HD to more space if i need to. Also is i possible to upgrade the graphics card?

the m17 is a OCZ Whitebook

its just re-painted and has a different keyboard and skull cap

    :)

you have enough money for mine ?

its alot cheaper then what AW is selling for and i know you will not find a lid like mine easily (i sell with both)

I'd probably recommend going with dual graphics cards from the very start. As for the processor, that just depends on your usage (if you're playing on less CPU and more GPU dependent game then obviously you don't need to upgrade it much.)

If you can afford it, go with the 1920x1200 screen, from what I've heard people say it's really nice.

The 2GB of RAM that comes as standard serves most people's usage fine, and it'd be less than half the price to upgrade to 4GB yourself at a later date.

As for the hard drive, well, that really depends on personal preference.

You'll likely have to make some compromises to get it for 2 grand (I'm presuming you mean US dollars, if it's UK pounds or Euros then it's a different story). It's just working out what you really need in it and what you would just like.

I won't recommend a dual graphic card because the 4870 are comming out.
