Decided to install HD tune today just to do some checking. Under the "health" tab it seems to be a problem. Is it something that i need to worry about ? :p

You may want to run Seatools on the drive.

B8 is vendor specific so it is recording something, but we cannot know what it is. I think It is reporting red because DDtune doesn't know how to mark it.

The SPIN TRY RECOUNT error in yellow means you are approaching a threshhold, but haven't passed it yet--so it is OK now...that said, I have no idea what the error is--maybe seatools will pick it out

Btw, what exactly makes the hdd so quiet ?
Tried my "old" laptops hdd in the m17 today since its gfx no longer working and im not planning to fix it any time soon and ive noticed that the noise difference between m17's factory hdd and that one was huge.

Since im planning to buy another hdd now (since the other one is too noisy), how exactly can i tell the difference ? Cant find any info about the hdd db in the site i usually order them :(

Great :) found the info in the seagate's manual. One thing though,

wheres the hdd you linked says 22-25 dBA.

Does that mean they are pretty much the same (ignore the ".") or seagate uses something else to measure the noise ?

edit: Seatools tests just finished, no problems there. Still odd that HD tune reports that :(
