    M17 out of warranty... Letter "U" fell out

    What can be done about this? Will they be able to just send me another button? Though I have a feeling that the issue is with the keyboard retainer.

    Out of warranty they'll probably do nothing. Find a keyboard on eBay.

    Like Mandrake said, check eBay or other places for a new KB. I'm sure you can get one from Dell Spare Parts, but they'll charge you a ton for it when you can get it for a lot less someplace else.
