    My m17 Sub woofer is not giving out any bass, it just sound like normal speaker.
    I wonder if it's the newer sound driver doesn't support it or it just suck.

    the "subwoofer" that's built into any laptop just plain sucks. If you think about it, a 1.5" sub is a joke.

    No man, my Old Dell M1710's sub woofer works.
    But now M17 sub woofer is not even detected as a sub. The sound from it is just normal speaker.

    I wonder windows 7 made any difference.

    Prob. drivers. The sub in my Inspiron 9300 stopped working when I went from Media Center 2005 to Vista, and it still doesn't work with Win7.
