So where do you live that you don't have to pay tax? Or is that part of the deal?

Well I was thinking about the gateway 7801u with 9800gts 1gig, the M17 of course or the Toshiba 305x-706 which as 98000gts in sli.

All I play is World of Warcraft, Battlefield 2, half life 2 and retro emulation "snes"

I'm a little concerned about the 3870 cause I haven't followed ati since the 9700pro and I know sli/crossfire isn't supported with WoW.

The AAFES Alienware store just opened. Dell had a few Alienware models on our AAFES/ Dell Premier website but this actual "store" is new.

Congrats on your selection for promotion to E-5! Now you'll be in a position to affect some change as an NCO. (Just remember your roots, airmen are your backbone, train 'em right!)

Me, I declined to reenlist after 14 years, separated as a TSgt, got a job as the IT Manager of the company I work for. My boss said, "pick out a laptop for yourself, since you'll want a powerful one." So I got an m17x with pretty much all the trimmings, and at no cost to me. :)

    Seriously? I could've saved like $280 on my m15x??

Well I took a student discount which wasn't bad I guess. But the no tax from the AAFES would've been welcome.

Wait I don't see any AW stuff on the AAFES site.. is it in-store only?

Oh I see it... I could've saved $750 including tax and shipping.

That.. makes me sad. Or maybe the m15x dropped in price too.

Yeah, I know the math, as a lot of people were quick to point out to me prior to my leaving... :) (actually, a lot more servicemen and women are leaving the military after the midway point due to various reasons) But honestly, for my situation, my family and private life took on a more important role in my life and I decided it was time to separate myself from the lifestyle. It worked out just fine, as I am in a sweet job, with sweet pay, and sweet bennies as well. Let's also not forget that I also have this sweet m17x that my company gave me. :)

Sometimes the cost of a retirement check isn't quite worth the expense.

Yes, if I could land a job that can handle the bills I have now I would do the same thing. Deploying to guam every year or two for 4 months is really a burden to me and the family. Its the only reason I ordered a M17 to play Wow with the wife.
