Does anyone know the location of the wifi antenna in the M17. Reason I was asking, I use mine in a booth and the only place I have that I can place it interfears with the laptop's wifi reception.
I was hoping it might be possible to find something that I can use to improve its reception if the antenna is located in the monitor casing. Otherwise I have to use HWDN1-Wifi Dish, made by Hawkings Technologies. Great item, but I have to pull it out box to use each time. Its also not a durable item so you have to be careful and not drop it as most will break if dropped.
Reason I ask is I am close enough to the source to use the M17's wifi, but because the booth I have to sit in is made of metal, my reception drops unless I use the HWDN1. I have heard there are things you can put on the side of the monitor to help wifi reception. Any info would help.

i think almost all laptops have the antenna in the lid. imagine tracing a line around your lid, maybe an inch or so inwards from the edge - that's about where the antenna is.

Yeah..the antennas wrap the edges of the monitor.. Also, the Wifi card itself is under the number 7 on your keypad, and the wires flow to the left beneath backspace up tp F10, then upwards towards the left hinge above the Wifi notification light.. :)
