After installing windows 7 and the alienfx control center all the keyboard and alien skull lights went out. When running the FXtester I get a messege that no board is detected. Does anyone know how to fix this or what causes it?

I tried doing a search and couldn't find anything specific about this particular problem. Any help would be greatly apreciated even if it's just a link to a solution thread that I missed.

This seems to be a common problem when doing a fresh install of an OS with FX. Some people get it working but frozen on one color. Do a search on NBR and should be able to find the solution that some people have come up with.

Yeah, I installed the new command center. I'm about to try what BatBoy suggested, will let you know if it works.

I followed those steps exactly BatBoy and the lights still aren't working at all. After following those steps and it not working I went ahead and powered down, removed the power cord and battery, held the power button for 25s and still nothing when I booted back up. Running the fxtester I'm still getting "No Board Detected"

Call Dell/AW and ask them to fix it, OR try and do a Format. You'll lose your data so back it up.

A reformat is not going to do it. If the AlienFX BIOS update is failing, its going to require a new motherboard. Where are you getting this FXtester from? Is this a third party app? If so, uninstall it as well. You may be running into a conflict.

If after uninstall you are still running into the same issue, its going to come down to a call with tech support. Sorry.

Since this is stemming from the CC Update (which has known issues), lets move the discussion to that thread for better visibility.

    Thanks.
