So... in addition to the DPC problems that everyone has, I've got another issue with my M17x.

I booted it up once without the battery installed. Now the computer will not boot at all unless it is plugged in to AC power. Windows reports the battery is installed and charging as normal. Using the Fn+F2 to enable/disable the battery has no effect; pull the cord out of the back and the machine dies no matter what. I've done the "remove ac power and battery and hold down the alien head" trick too, but no luck.

Any ideas? It's not a huge problem, more of a minor annoyance... but for $3k I don't want any more minor annoyances.
