    I created this thread to discuss credit ratings in regards to purchasing an M17x, Chaz's idea. My questions (This thread is open to anyone, the old thread had a lot of people asking questions like this) are

    a) If you pay the 3 percent of the laptop per month, will the cost of the monthly payments go down each month? I calculated that a $108 monthly payment at the beginning would get to about $77 a month about a year later and

    b) Is the 10 percent off only available with the monthly payments, and will it leave a negative mark on your credit card if you do the monthly payments.
