For all those M17X owners out there,
I was wondering if any of you noticed FA virtual Cam, or something to that affect, in your device manager. You Cam seems to want to use it by default. As I began to play around with it, I noticed that FA Virtual Cam wasn't always the best camera option to select, as it would create rainbow bars in You Cam. However, just this afternoon, the webcam mysteriously quit working all together. Like any normal technician would do, I went immediately to the Dell Support Website and downloaded the driver. When I tried to install it, I got a error message, and the driver finished with an error. Unfortunately the webcam still didn't work. I then checked to make sure my function key wasn't accidently pressed (disabling camera). The webcam was enabled.......I decided to open up device manager, and thats where I spotted FA Virtual Cam, or whatever it's called. I uninstalled it and then tried to install the webcam driver once again. The error continued to display. It wasn't until multiple restarts later, and accidently getting into Stealth mode, that the computer just found the integrated webcam and installed all by itself. Has anyone noticed the virtual cam or had any issue like this?

I just experienced the exact same problem. I just got my M17x and it worked fine for a while, then today when I turned it on AlienSense gave an error that it could not find my webcam. I logged in and toggled Fn+F9 several times but nothing happened. I checked the device manager but couldn't find the webcam so I went to the support site and downloaded the driver and got the same error on installation, and the webcam still didnt work afterwards. After rebooting several times to retry the driver installation, windows suddenly detects it and installs a microsoft driver for it. I opened YouCam to test it and it still gave me rainbow bars, but I noticed there was a new second option for which webcam to use. After selecting that the webcam started working again, and when I reopened YouCam after testing face recognition the FA Virtual Cam dissapeared from the list of webcams altogether
