Well I have all my drivers up to date..no overclocking and i finally caught the freezing that never happens when im on the phone with a tech from alienware!
The freezing that is happening has died down but basically at around 16 seconds in the video is what happens when the game freezes and usually stays that way until I do a hard reset by holding the power button on the m17x...any suggestions or help would be great! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKMXEOg_zrE

That is EXACTLY the stuttering that my wife's XPS13 was doing.

We ended up sending it back for a refund because Dell sent the wrong motherboard to the tech 3 times in a row, and we went from a computer that at least worked most of the time, to no computer for a week.

They had no clue what it was, and replaced the motherboard, hdd, ram, and gpu (part of the mobo). I unfortunately dont know if the issue remained after that because we sent it back the day after it was finally fixed.

EXACT same issue though, I'm sure of it. I would push very hard for a new system as Dell is going to completely disassemble your system replacing part after part trying to figure it out.

That is the infamous latency stutter of Nvidia GPU's. My system does that while playing a MP3 or Youtube video...makes me lol.

I just talked to dell. after a bit of reasoning with them they are replacing my 280s with ATI cards for free. Worth a shot for others with this problem who have had their computers for several months

I apologize for the bad video I do not own a video camera but now i have a full freezing video in better lighting!!

I have had the computer replaced 2 times with a motherboard replacement on each one including some keyboard replacements and fan replacements!

Going for the third one being sent after fighting with dell after 41 days!

Should i request a different video card...The spec for the new one is a GTX 260M

    Full freezing Video
