    Hi Fellow Alienheads

Anyone know if the M17X with the Dual 4870's, I7 720 and 6gigz of 1333performs well with EQ2?

I heard someone with Dual Nvidias on a desktop pc had to disable one Gcard to get acceptable performance in EQ2.

Can anyone fill me in on if this is true and if so why?

    Thanks,

    Loyalty

As an EQ2 player I can tell you it will run the game like a web browser. I wouldn't sweat it man. I'll be gaming on my new rig, too. EQ2 has classically had issues with SLI, a lack of support really, but even with one 4870, you'll be good to go. I dunno if they ever patched in SLI or not.

I cant see it having trouble with eq2, the 4870's are equal to like a desktop 4850 each from what ive heard, so theres for comparison.

My old toshiba x205 handled eq2 quite well on high graphics. It had a dual 8600gt's and a dual core. Im also jumping in eq2 in the nagafen server when my m17x arrives.
