    Hey everyone!
just a real quick question for yall's. Its prolly a no brainer for you guys lol.
So say for instance I install new drivers for my GPU, but I only have my SLI enabled (not hybrid) in BIOS and everything installs nicely.
When I go mobile and just have my 9400 enabled will the drivers update themselves or do I have to install them a second time?
And just for future reference I assume when installing new GPU drivers on this machine, it is ideal to have hybrid enabled before doing so? The order of how to do this has always confused me on this machine.

Also just on a random note... I got my replacement M17X the other day and for some reason the DVD tray is wonky, like its really hard to shove a disc in there, that little flip door there seems to lock in place when it shouldn't sometimes. Anyone have this issue? It also doesnt read my cd/dvds at all, but its real sporadic. Ideas?
Thanks for all the help everyone, I love you guys so much! lol
    :)

Enabling/disabling the 9400 is a very driver specific matter. I'd recommend keeping it disabled till you install the GPU drivers. Booting on battery or enabling it back in BIOS will make windows install the driver (it should be done auto.)
New drivers ideally should be installed after removing the old ones (tick the "delete the driver software for this device" checkbox in device manager when uninstalling the drivers) and then rebooting to safe mode, running CCleaner, rebooting, letting the windows install the basic drivers, rebooting again and installing the new drivers.
But you can try in stalling the new drivers right away, it works most of the time.
Contact Dell regarding the DVD ROM. They should replace it.
