Why are some people calling the M17X a failure? I have one and it is fantastic. Plays almost all games on the highest graphic settings. When I read reviews for the system before I bought it reviewers were just short of calling it the best thing since sliced bread. I could see how the M15x could be a failure with its cooling and hinge issues. Now Im not one to care what people think, but just wondering if im missing something. It was pricey but I didnt expect two high powered graphic cards, Blu Ray, and some prestige to be cheap, plus the American tax payers paid for mine, Oorah Goverment work :) !!!!!!!!

Well, if yours is fine, you shouldnt worry about what other people say. :p

And mostly, people that are saying things about it, probably dont even have it..

I would say its a failure. I bought one in Sept 2008 and had all the bells and whistles. Cost close to $4500. Its been a large paper weight and I have not been able to use it at all. They have replaced the mother board, multiple backlit keyboards, multiple video cards, LED board and case, not to mention approx. (4-5) clean OS installs done over the phone and at their location. The very first time I pressed the power button this last time I got it back, I recieved error messages. When I called the critical dpt, I was told that the OS was corupt. I guess the FedEx driver opened it up and messed up the OS after the AW tech fixed the machine. Now they want it sent back for another 2 weeks to try agian. I have asked for a new M17x but was basically told no, this trial and error will continue forever. It now appears to be be lawyer time and I cringe when I think about it..................

I don't think I am unreasonable to want a $4,500 LT to work out of the box.

Ummmm Ya, I would says its multiple failures.

Actually I forgot to update my bottom. I upgraded through AW to add an additional 320Gb hardrive and upgraded to 8GB ram. I paid the premium to go through them to avoid any warranty issues.

    Funny, what warranty????

I here you...but, I can't even get them to agree to the warranty they have, much less after mods if I did them myself.
Thats why I paid the extra.
