Hi, I just got my M17X (GTX 280M) but I cant find any good compatible drivers! I tried the Dox 185.85 (and a lot more) drivers but the display gets screwed up. I really want to get my computer's performance up, but I cant get anything to work! My 3DMark Vantage score is only P9300 and my 3DMark06 score is only 11200! I would like to see those scores go up! Also, if anyone knows how to over volt, any help would be appreciated!

Edit: I got the drivers Crylo suggested and they worked, but i still have low 3dmark scores! Please help!

I am using the new 186.91, you might want to try that, it seems to have very good performance, especially in Crysis.

I have the same problem, had to work like hell to get these scores, and I still find them low, I'm curious to know what secrets these guys getting 17k 3dmark06 and 12k+ vantage and GPU are using to get those scores because there is obviously something I'm not doing that they are.

    too overpriced, considering it's used.

Tried 190.89, GTX 280M's wont show up.

Edit: They work now! Gonna run a benchmark later, I have class in 30 minutes

Don't worry I wouldn't sell it to someone with 7 posts. Good luck getting your scores up.

Why? I carry fake money? Or PayPal will take the money away after you get it just because I have 7 posts? You may be very good at benchmarking and all, but what you just said sounds really stupid and nonsensical!
Go to ebay and look for it! It's overpriced, I can get a new one for under $330! I'm sorry, but it's the truth!

I wouldn't sell to you for the same reason you are not allowed to sell here at NBR. Too many scammers out there.

Please provide a link to a sub $330 OEM x9100 on ebay. If you link an ES or QS proc we will point and laugh at you. ;)

AH! OEM! Fair enough! I didn't know you were selling an OEM, I realized now it said so on your thread's title! Sorry!

Not allowed to sell ES or QS procs here being illegal and all. eBay just hasn't cracked down on it yet.

And I don't think they will, Intel probably wants to make money off those chips, if they really didn't want them sold they wouldn't be sold as freely and openly as they are and have been for years. I'm sure they sell those ES's by the tray to contacts who then sell them at places like Ebay, knowing there is a market for them.

Aight, ran 3dmark vantage again with the 190.xx drivers and scored 10700! Thanks for the help!
One more question, how to over volt? I'd like to over volt my GPU's BIOS to about 1.03v-1.05v. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    hi all.
i would like to know from you which drivers you suggest between the 190.xx (no 9400) and the 186.xx (9400 enabled).
i asked in an italian forum, they said to me that the 9400 causes some compatibility problems and slowdowns, but i can use it completely for physx if available.
    what do you suggest?
    thx

    ps: ciao andytom :)
