Updated it, no video or auto stuttering anymore but now I am getting bsod. Don't know why still think it's mb. Bsod says somthing about display error or display error or something like that.

But if Dell couldnt fix it they have to replace the machine right? Did anyone got a whole machine replacement? I think yes right?

You may need to raise your voice a lil bit when talking to 'em.

You are the customer. Excercise your right to demand satisfaction. Call them and be civil but be firm in what you ask for. Have them send a Dell Tech out with EVERY piece of hardware. Swap MB, Memory, GPUs (but not processor).

Call tech support to have the issue documented. Then call customer support to get a replacement system. As long as all the issues been documented i'm sureyou can get a replacement.

Is the unsettling feeling like getting gas SillyHoney? If so you should try some antacids for that feeling.

I dont wanna argue with you, Joker. But I believe when hes in trouble with his machine and post here, he need advices to either solve the problem with his machine itself or deal with Dell to get a refund or a replacement, not to find a buyer.

And if you think $2,000 is a win/win solution for you two then be it. Good luck eBayer. Im out :D

Good decision. If you still like the m17x, give it another. If not, wait for the refresh.

He's had the laptop for nearly 4 months. He won't be able to get a refund no matter how much he complains to Dell. My offer of $2000 works out great for someone like him that wants to dump it and move on to Sager.

How many people will gamble on a defective machine and deal with the headache? I will because I know how to fix these things. I can grab a new SLI'd M17x for $2400 so $2000 for a used defective one is pretty decent.

Man. That's a damn good deal.

Besides, his machine is having issues. He has warranty. If Dell can't fix the problem or replace the system, they will give him a very decent partial refund, if not a full refund. Now I am guessing, based on the the spec, that this refund won't be anywhere near as low as the $ 2000 mark.

The cost to me for a qx9300 right now is $250 OEM. I get about 18% off on AW's so I can grab his configuration minus the CPU for about $2400. That's with 2 yrs warranty + CC thrown in. I don't buy through dell.com like most people do. Besides, I'm much less interested in the M17x today than I was a few days ago so I now renew my offer at $1800.
