What display driver version are you using? Might want to use the 186 beta driver on Dells site. Make sure you uninstall the current one first and reboot in stealth mode and reboot again to finish uninstall. The display driver install/uninstall procedure for hybrid sli setups can cause buggy software issues if not followed properly.

I'm using 190.56 also and have NST but just checked and color settings work.
Try turning on the 9400m and double click on it in device manager and see what driver version shows.

There ya go, uninstall it, reboot and install 190.56. Your disply driver installation has borked Nvidia control panel and who knows what else...

Not trying to hijack, but I've been having problems as well.

After I tweaked with system tools for a bit, I too was having hot key problems on my m17x.

FN-f7 would not allow me to witch back to discrete GPUs (260s) and my sytem was stuck on the 9400m. Even after uninstall of system tools, my laptop would not go back to discrete GPUs. I used the alien respawn function and now it works just fine (although all my stuff got deleted).

Addidtionally, NVST was showing my CPU multiplier as 6 and my core speed as 1.6ghz....I have the Q9000 2ghz with 267x8.5 multiplier..with NVST still installed, I tried to increase my FSB through the BIOS and my system wouldn't even boot (and that was only raing the FSB by 1mhz!).

Is there some sort of screwy conflict with system tools and the bios?

Why doesn't NVST properly read my multiplier?

I'm using stock drivers on the GPUs btw...tried to get the 190.56 drivers from lv2go, but they were down.

Sorry for the long post...all help is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Jon
