M17X owners, I'm very interested in this notebook. Are you very happy with your purchase. Would you recommend this laptop to your best friend or would you let your worst enemy get it to get even with them?

Extremely happy with it. I'd recomend it to anyone interested in a powerful 17" laptop with style points :)

I 2nd that, i've had no problems and she's running really well.

Temperatures are good, CPU doesn't go above 60 and GPU stays at around 77 - 80 when gaming.

    I'd recommend it (",)

Agree with previous posts. No problem with my M17X but my operating temps are higher than OB's when gaming. However no serious over heating or downclocking.

Yer it's awesome had one small issue which required me to re install the GPU drivers but that's it. It really is a truely amazing gaming machine and Alienware's service (for me atleast) is second to non. Be aware if you are going to carry it around it is heavy and is rather large, it took time getting used to carrying it around all day but if you can over look that small downside for the fact you have a laptop that can out perform most desktops and you get the alienware name and backing then it is deffinatly the right laptop for you.

Too bad the power "brick" was not smaller. But i guess the large size needed for the M17X.
