this is a little bit ridiculous. The only thing you get is a free headset.

Yep, I was waiting for this event. And I feel cheated :) :D  :D

they do have a free shipping but who cares. I was hoping for like 25% off :p that would come close to m17 I've configured for myself.

I notice that the 4gb ram option is no longer available as they have raised the starting price and made 6gb standard. there has to be a glut of 4gb modules out there cuz they havent come off the price of $400 each by much.

I would like to max out my system to 8gb but not paying those high prices for 4gb modules.

Are you using the Nebula Red Special Edition link? That's a pseudo-deal that saves you about $140 if you're interested in the red chassis and 6Gb of RAM.

Use the non-red base config if you want 4 Gb.

i think the red deal saves you some on the hdd options also as base hdd is 2 500gb RAID 0 and the ssd option price is better. Not going to find those Samsung SSD's for that price aftermarket.

Yes, I am sure those of you that were waiting for this feel completely cheated. Just like those that have waited for a better E-Value code in the August and September catalog...

Dell is making this machine it's cash cow.
