when i was playing The Last Remnant, my M17X turn to heat on the right side, and the air was heat too, i wonder the Zalman cooler can take care of this ?

my point of view, i think the heat issue is not so good when gaming, beside of that the heat issue shouldn't be a problem.

??? Can you supply me with some heat readings on the components themselves... download HWmonitor takes like 5 seconds and run it, it will read your fan speeds and temperatures... thanks

Yeah, a heat issue, if there is one, can only be verified with a program like HWmonitor like MrBB said.

Run it and show us the results. If you have a heat issue with the M17x you'll be the first.

Was it on your lap? also you can expect it to get hot under normal gaming anyway, You want to make sure nothing gets too hot though, my cars get up to 79c (Highest ive seen) and thats normal operating range.

Yeah I'm sorry I thought it was the HDD earlier lol... it is your GPU coil... if you have noticed while playing intensive games (taxing) that the noise goes down or even away?

    Hi Clement_ng,
Heat coming out of the fan vents of the laptop is normal. This means that the fans are doing their job and also that the heat is being pulled out of the system. If you didn't feel the heat being expelled out of the laptop, then I'd worry. That would indicate that the heat is being trapped inside the notebook where it could potentially harm a component. This notebook runs relatively cool considering the high powered components that are offered. You shouldn't need a cooling pad at all.

    Thanks,
    Gabe
