Hi guys, bit of a poorly lappy by the looks of things :(
Have had my rig for about 2 months now, and pleased as punch with it...cept keep having these random crashes.
in the last hour I have had the whole computer crash while playing WoW, resulting in a hard reset.
Yesterday I had a system crash and a BSOD! Last week my first BSOD accured.
I have followed 99% of BatBoy's suggested setup for maximum performance. Using nvidia driver 186.82 as suggested (cant install any newer drivers for some strange reason, in case drivers were still the issue). Only thing different is I still use AlienSense due to nosey family members.

I can sit browsing the internet, playing vintage games with DOSBox etc with no issues what so ever, so definately seems to be a graphics issue.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated :)

Sorry, forgot to mention - Am running Win7 x64 wiht Dual nVidia 260s
    cheers

Yep, i had the same situation several months ago with my brand new m17x. Nothing i tried, including calling tech support and running all of their trouble shooting methods, having my RAM and motherboard replaced, etc. fixed the issue. Eventually they replaced my system after the motherboard replacement resulted in the Dell tech frying my GPUs.

Just to make sure we had the same issues, did the frame in the game freeze and the sound go on about a half second loop and the system become unresponsive? And yeah, after a dozen crashes or so, I began getting BSODs. And this only happened when running programs like games, photoshop, etc.

Hi bill. That sounds exactly the same problem as im having. It was fine 2 days ago tho, really cant understand what's caused this balls-up.
I used to be able to play farcry 2 and wow for hours on end with no problem what-so-ever. Please dont tell me its a 'replace it' situation :(
