When I was running Vista, I never had bluescreens or random freezes that didn't bluescreen but still locked up my computer, requiring a hard restart.

Any ideas on why this could be happening?

Never mind, the freezes lead to a blue screen eventually.

I have no issues running the M17x on the Win7 ultimate RTM . Are you using the RTM version as well ?.

because I got a legit copy of Pro for free, and Ultimate costs a lot of money to acquire legally.

    Ill try that again

Cant see how you have a truly legit copy of win 7 anything.
Even so, It would seem whatever it is its clearly unstable.

My version is Ultimate like everyone else here. It has no issues. Every problem Ive worked through so far has had little or nothing to do with win 7. In fact, it seems to continually correct things for me without my command, (like my audio driver that no longer skips, and sends a proper 5.1 signal, which it didnt do before and I did nothing to fix)

(Of course after making sure your on the A02 BIOS and it is setup correctly, and that your RAID isnt corrupted...or something.), Id try a reinstall, and if that doesn't work, toss the disc in a trash can and get something else.

I didn't know about the A02 bios, but I just d/l'd it and installed it. It wouldn't auto-run for some reason, the "phlash" program kept freezing, but I got it to work by running it manually rather than through the .bat.

I also installed Everest again to watch my GPU temps. I'll test in a min.

tested Guild Wars for an hour and Left4Dead for an hour, both at max settings.

CPU was maxed out and GPUs got to mid 60s (celsius). Didn't crash, which makes me believe the new BIOS helped a lot. Or maybe the chipset driver I reinstalled.
